Ball point pen on the morning newsprint

Most concede that Senator Barack Obama has run one of the smartest, well run campaigns in the history of our nation. If you believe the polls, he will be the next President of the United States. So, what can we expect from an Obama administration? Most believe he will deliver the cool, thoughtful approach that he has demonstrated during this hard fought campaign. He delegates to a very close circle of smart people... No rock stars here. They are loyal, tight lipped and keep their eye on the prize. On the agenda in the first one hundred days will be structuring a plan to bringing troops home from Iraq in a little over a year, develop a far reaching energy plan and provide universal health care coverage.

I read an article on the ground breaking fund raising strategy that propelled his dollars past the Clinton machine and the GOP efforts to get McCain in office. Expect many politicians to take note and follow the blueprint for years to come. What to expect, well we will see. I will say this and hopefully democrats and republicans will actually take heed and act. Both McCain and Obama said that the only way this government will get fix is if people get involved in their communities. I'm sure people expect a whole from the coming president but what goals and plans have we set for ourselves? Are people going to change their habits that causes diabetes, or stop risking cancer by smoking which causes a serious toll on the healthcare system? I realy doubt it but I thought I should pose the question.

Thanks for your thoughtful post VEe!...You might have added shrink their carbon footprint and live within their means to the list of things people need to put on their radar....Ask not, so to speak.

Can you imagine someone running a campaign while they're listing a number of things citizens should act on and enlist them to be responsible and accountable themselves, then start taking quotes from Kennedy and other past leaders? BTW, the recent series of post was really cool. After a while I forgot that the Obama image was a bunch of words.

That's the genius behind Axelrod's strategy of using the internet and blogs, soliciting small contributions, minimizing the special interests, and making everyone feel like they have a stake in the campaign and possibly the future of our nation. ...And thanks for your kind words. BTW, your one heck of a draftsman yourself!
