This morning, in perhaps his final act as President of the United States, George W. Bush is doing what the legislative branch fail to, bail out the big 3 U.S. automakers. In the eleventh hour, Bush was forced to concede what the majority of Americans have come to believe, ideology is less important than a competent and timely handling of issues in the best interest of the country, given the current set of facts.

In normal times Bush said he would not be in favor of government intervening in the bankruptcy process but "In the midst of a financial crisis and a recession, allowing the U.S. auto industry to collapse is not a responsible course of action,"

    Hi Larry. I'm responding to your comment over at Katherine's blog. I use Wordpress, and have an anti-spam application called Akismet. Of almost 12,000 attempted spam comments on my blog, only ten have gotten posted. The email notification I get when a comment is posted lets me delete those immediately. Use Google to find their web address, or try the Wordpress.org site for more information. One of these days, I'm going to learn to read Russian. Good luck!
