Ball point pen on the morning newsprint A while back, I wrote on this blog about an interesting book by Andrew Keen, The Cult of the Amateur, How The Internet Is Killing Our Culture. I agree with much of what Mr. Keen writes but ultimately disagree with his conclusions. Of course there are irresponsible, untalented and ill informed providers of content on the web, but if we intend to uphold our constitution and protect freedom of speech on the internet, we have to be savvy about separating the wheat from the chaff. As a blogger, my radar is always tuned to these issues, so naturally I gravitated towards an interview in this mornings paper with James Broderick and Darren Miller, co-authors of Web of Conspiracy: A Guide to Conspiracy Theory Sites on the Internet.
