Ball point pen on the morning newsprint

Yes We Did!

Unfortunately I can't stop to savor the moment because I have two early morning photo shoots in NY.... I wish I had time to do a better drawing or wax poetic, ... I did this 5 am doodle and I'm off to catch a train, but feel free to wax to your hearts content, I'd like to here your thoughts on this historic day.

I am so proud today to be an American, we showed the world what democracy really is. This changes everything the world has ever thought about us.

I, too, am incredibly proud to be a citizen of the United States this morning. We can now honestly say...Anything is possible! There is a long and rough road ahead. However, we have already seen how President-Elect Obama can unite people of all races and political ideologies. We can only hope and work hard together to keep the momentum going into the next four years and beyond. Peace!

"I wish I had time to do a better drawing" Forget about it, I love the fact that the drawings are early morning quickies. What's next? Will he be able to get the GOP to play ball like FDR did? Hey, will die-hard republicans truly embrace the incumbent President and accept his faults? And how long will the media love-affair last. I'm a bit pessimistic because the current President is leaving a horrible legacy and number of challenges ahead. Let's pray that everybody is working together to solve these challenges. We need to get Texas, Utah, Idaho, Okalahoma and Arkansas on board.

As I said the other day, great men sometimes come out of no where. I really hope this is the case with this election. He will need all the help he can get and I hope the Republicans will work as one with him to make America the best it can be.
