A few weeks back the brilliant James Gurney emailed me to ask if I would like to contribute a drawing to his New Yorker "Unfinished Cover Contest". George Booth drew a fabulous July 4th cover that had so much white space, it seemed to be calling out to doodlers like me. In the spirit of the popular New Yorker, Cartoon Caption Contest, I was willing to have at it. Like most every drawing I post here, I spent all of five minutes on it. Well, The New Yorker liked Gurney"s idea and published some of the drawings. Have a look at the slide show below.
