Great job on capturing what an attractive young black man Michael Jackson was before he turned himself into a freak show. May his tortured soul now rest in peace.

I read someone put it this way: His enormous talent was bigger than the vessel. Certainly the vessel was flawed.

Ditto. For the most part I would just like to remember the music. I like the way you captured the difference in age. The drawings looks like one drawing in different stages of completion.

Wonderful, Larry. I just felt very sad to learn of his death. I grew up dancing along with my son to Thriller and he really was an amazing talent. He makes me think of Marilyn and Elvis and Judy Garland in the sense that they gave everything of their phenomenal talent, but were pretty much sucked dry of their own lives.

Larry, That's Michael Jackson alright. How fragile we all are, even more so those with extraordinary qualities. His multiple talents were amazing and he no doubt baffled us and blessed us at the same time.

I just read VEe!'s comment and yes it does. Interesting.

These are spontaneous doodles done in ball point pen. There's no correcting and if I do two there will be differences. Sometimes I do a warm up drawing and I like it better than the one I do over the related text. In this case the second drawing, like Micheal, has flaws but it had a certain angelic quality that I liked, so I posted them both. His mother, who bore that angelic face must have shed many a tear watching the metamorphosis.

Great sketches of the talented Micheal Jackson when he was, who he was, before he became he wasn't and never became he who he was to be! -Hmmmmmm his death has made me have mixed feelings.........He certainly couldn't live like the rest of us, a victim of his own success! Strange world!!!

    Hey Adebanji, Strange indeed!

This is wonderful! It might just be a quick sketch done on newspaper for you, but I would frame that in a heartbeat!
