By winning games 1 and 5, Tim Lincecum led the Giants to their first World Series win since the team pulled up roots in New York and moved to San Francisco.

Update on previous post: Fox and Cablevision ended their dispute, allowing CV subscribers to see games 3,4 and 5. I however was in Paris and missed the entire World Series.

The Wait is over! After waiting twenty eight years between championships, Philly fans were forced to wait a little longer when game 5 of the World Series went into a 50 hour rain delay. The final three innings were played last night, the Phillies coming out on top 4-3 to take the series 4 games to 1. It marks the second World Championship in the team’s 125 year history.
Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels went 4-0, with a 1.80 ERA in post season and was awarded the MVP of both the National League Championship and the World Series.
