Ball point pen on todays newsprint
The Phillies took the opening game of the national league division series on the strength of Roy Hallaway’s right arm. Halladay pitched the second no-hitter in post season history, coming within one batter of a perfect game by allowing one base on balls. Don Larsen was the only other pitcher to accomplish the great feat when he threw a perfect game in the 5th game of the 1956 World Series.
