Mario Monti

Ball point pen on today’s newsprint

The respected economist has been tapped to form a new government in Italy, but credentials aside, he’s going to have a hard time. The country has a little over four months to repay or refinance over 200 billion euros in maturing bonds. But unlike Bush, who dodged the incoming shoes, Berlusconi tragically took it square in the face breaking his nose and knocking out two teeth. To add insult to the prime minister’s injuries, the mentally ill assaulter actually has supporters and a fan page on facebook….Bizarre

The Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, Silvio Berlusconi is hosting the G8 Summit. This doodle goes out to my son Andrew, who is studying abroad and today is probably baffled by all the traffic and congestion being he’s in Rome, Italy along with eight of the most powerful men on the planet. Enjoy Capri this weekend Andrew!
