Larry King announced his retirement. In an age when media personalities die with a mike in their hand. At 76, people are taking note that he’s getting out while he’s practically middle aged (by Washington standards.)

Okay, so he admits that he once smoked up to three packs of cigarettes a day, ate all the wrong foods and never exercised, he could live to be 152.

John King will take over for the outspoken Lou Dobbs on CNN. You know, he’s the guy who looks like he stepped out of a Leyendecker, Arrow Collar painting and zooms in and out on the giant map with two outstretched pointer fingers.

I applaud CNN for moving away from punditry and back to news.
