On day one of the Republican National Convention in Tampa, some of Ron Paul’s delegates walked out in protest, while others wore clothes pins on their noses over decisions to strip delegates from Paul and make rule changes that would make it harder for non-establishment candidates in future elections.

In a tape released yesterday by Mother Jones Magazine , republican governor Chris Christie claimes that democrat NJ Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver made a back room deal to get Republicans to support her speakership after she supported cuts to public-workers benefits. Oliver denies it.

Former US Attorney Chris Christie won a decisive victory against Steve Lonegan in yesterdays New Jersey GOP primary. Christie will be slated against Democratic Governor Jon Corzine in this fall’s gubernatorial election.
Christie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Delaware and a Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. He was nominated by President George W. Bush to be the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey in 2001. As prosecutor he won many convictions for corruption including Sharpe James.
