A bizarre and tragic story unfolded yesterday in Ohio. A man released over forty wild animals into an unsuspecting community before apparently committing suicide. Schools were canceled, everyone was warned to stay inside their homes while police hunted and killed the released animals.

The lineman is king across the eastern seaboard as Hurricane Irene left millions without power. We lost power for 14.5 hours, returning last night about 6:00 pm. The best tip we received going into the storm was to fill freezer bags with water and put them in the freezer. Once we lost power we moved the frozen bags into the fridge to keep our food from spoiling. It worked like a charm – we even celebrated the power returning with a cold beer.
