Labor unions plan to protest President Obama hosting the future president of China, Xi Jinping at the White House on Valentines Day. Unfair trade practices have crippled auto parts manufacturers here in the US.

Moon Colony

Ball point pen on today’s newsprint

Last night Gingrich separated himself from the field, and not in a good way. His tone deaf suggestion of creating a colony on the moon when unemployment is so high, America’s infrastructure is crumbling, national debt is growing at an unsustainable rate and half of Florida’s mortgages are under foreclosure was just plain looney.

Shrinking Newt

Ball point pen on today’s newsprint

In last nights debate, Newt let Romney’s calling him an “influence peddler” go unchallenged. Today I challenged myself to draw a very small Newt. Just some dots and dashes illustrate Newt’s transparent, new, front runner, above the fray, presidential persona.

If he didn’t have money, I guarantee the hurdle would be much higher. Let’s face it, no one on the stage, regardless of party, feels your pain. They’re all in the 1%.

Type 2 Diabetes Y’all

Ball point pen on today’s newsprint

Yesterday Paula Dean admitted on the Today Show that she was diagnosed three years ago with type 2 diabetes. Type 2 can be controlled or prevented with proper diet and exercise, but over those same three years Deen has promoted and profited from unhealthy eating through the broadcasting of her television show and the publishing of three cook books. Why is she admitting it now? Has she seen the light? Will she promote healthy eating? Not on your life y’all. Deen plans to parlay this culture of gluttony into more profits by teaming with a diabetes drug manufacturer to help y’all have your deep fried cake and eat it too.

Two Words:

Ball point pen on today’s newsprint

Well, one word and one acronym. Mitt spent $1.47 million of campaign funds in Iowa and Super Political Action Committees another $4.5 million on negative ads against his nearest rival, Newt Gingrich (who was hoisted by his own petard). That was enough to eke out an eight vote victory over second place finisher Santorum, who spent a mere $21 thousand.
