At 38 years old the veteran left hander was the model of efficiency last night. He threw 88 pitches, giving up 5 hits and 2 earned runs. He walked 1 and struck out 4 in his 7 innings of work. While it wasn’t a no hitter, it was good enough to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead in the division series with Minnesota.
