Ball point pen on todays newsprint
Happy 80th Birthday to the legendary composer Stephen Sondheim. The New York Philharmonic and a star studded cast performed a birthday concert at Avery Fisher Hall on Monday night. The event was appropriately short on speeches, putting the music of the prolific Sondheim first.

Mar 17, 10 at 4:27 pmThanks VEe! This doodle went very quickly, maybe two minutes. I try to think mostly about proportion as opposed to rendering. In fact, the amount of lines are usually an inverse indicator of how well I think I’m doing. A fully rendered portrait means I’m trying to cover all my mistakes.
