Funny how we remember things. Certainly our imaginations were better developed before video games, but I'm not sure that the clothes were ever couturier or they just seemed that way to a six year old.

BTW... I know it seems like a trivial subject. There was a story today about the secret inscription in Abraham Lincolns watch that was rumored about, but unveiled for the first time yesterday. Well, I just drew Abe for his birthday so I went with Barbie. The great emancipator looses out to a buxom plastic doll. Ouch!

Too funny--I watched on "Sunday Morning" that it was Barbie's 50th! Makes me feel ancient. I have a friend who just painted her as well! I remember the day, as a child, I got a Barbie doll and I was in heaven. (That was back in the day when Barbie had nice, kind of "coutourier" clothes--now they're boring!) I guess it's sort of a female rite of passage. Love this, Larry!
