Finally, This Is Your Moment…

Ball point pen on the morning newsprint

….this is your time. Go Vote!

The Polls opened at 6:00 am this morning, I got there at 5:58. Of those who’s name ended in L-Z, I was number eleven. It took me 15 minutes.

A shining representation of American Democracy. There were no lines in Roselle Park this morning. I took my 6-year old son, Matthew, in the voting booth and showed him the voting process. His enthusiasm, whether completely understood or not, infused in me a certain amount of extra pride this morning as I exercised my right to vote. Happy voting to all!

I think I recognized that chin held high look on many of those at my voting place this morning.

Kudos to you Brendan for letting your son witness democracy in action.

Both my children will be voting in their first presidential election this year.

Lines in N Y are longer than N J. I guess that New Yorkers are more anxious to have their man Obama elected. ( I am dodging eggs coming my way from N J)
On a personal note. Why are you shooting tomorrow AM> I plan to drink a lot of champagne tonight and I am not responsible for my actions in the AM. And if I do not drink champagne tonight because the election was stolen again…. again, I am not responsible for my actions. You would find me in the street teaching Americans the French way to make your voice heard.

    Hi Michel,

No need for a revolution… I have a feeling it will be over early, and you will sleep like a baby for the first time in eight years.

…and if you do tie one on…save a little of the dog that bit you and we’ll have Mimosas before we get to work in the morning.

    See you tomorrow!

    Viva Obama!
