The sunrise speaks of the spirit of hope we all need, and the abandoned pages and cup a reminder of how short our time is together. Yet there is peace and lightness...a complex work...beautiful. I recently lost a dear friend who LOVED doing crossword puzzles every Sunday morning. I was lucky to spend a few of those Sundays at his elbow, amazed by his breath of knowledge. And now I’m amazed by your talent and comforted by the grace of this painting. I do hope you will offer Giclee prints of this painting for sale–I’m sure my friend’s wife will also be comforted and moved by this lovely work: it captures so much of his struggle with cancer.
